Quantron, a leading advocate for sustainable passenger and freight transport solutions, has recently inked a significant deal with HAMA Trucks in Ausburg, Germany. The deal entails the procurement of 38 cutting-edge battery electric heavy commercial vehicles, valued at a substantial EUR 16 million.
Advanced Electric Commercial Vehicles
The vehicles in question belong to the QUANTRON QHM BEV model, distinguished by their impressive 450 kW battery systems and an impressive range of up to 300 kilometers. This versatile fleet encompasses both tractor and rigid variants, offering the flexibility to use swap-bodies as needed. All these vehicles come fitted with an aerodynamics package, custom-designed by QUANTRON to further extend their operational range.
Government-Backed Sustainability
Crucially, all 38 electric commercial vehicles have received funding support from the German Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVD). This financial backing empowers customers to avail themselves of an 80% subsidy from the BMDV while also benefitting from financing inclusive of a maintenance contract over an agreed-upon term, under an innovative service/lease agreement.
