In a recent development, the Delhi High Court has issued a stay on the cheating case proceedings against Hero MotoCorp’s Chairman, Pawan Munjal, and other company officials. The court’s decision comes in the wake of an FIR filed against Munjal earlier this week by the Delhi Police, alleging forgery and fraud. The case pertains to an old matter dating back to the year 2009-10.
Allegations by Brains Logistics Pvt. Ltd., a former service provider for Hero MotoCorp, accused the company, Munjal, and others of forgery and falsifying account books. However, it’s worth noting that the FIR didn’t name any company officials.
Hero MotoCorp clarified its stance in a stock exchange filing, describing the complainant as a “disgruntled service provider” and highlighting that the matter is linked to a period over a decade ago. The company also mentioned that it had previously filed an FIR against Brains Logistics Pvt. Ltd. in 2013, and that case remains ongoing in the courts.
The Delhi High Court is set to hear the forgery case in detail on December 6. Meanwhile, Hero MotoCorp’s stock experienced a minor dip in trading, falling by 0.7% to INR 3,078.2 following these developments.
