New Delhi: India’s much-anticipated Bharat New Car Assessment Programme (NCAP), a native crash test rating assessment initiative, is set to launch tomorrow. The announcement of this milestone was made by Nitin Gadkari, the Union Minister for Road, Transport, and Highways. The Bharat NCAP program is envisioned to elevate road safety by enhancing the safety standards of motor vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes, a move welcomed by the automotive industry and consumers alike.
One of the notable features of the upcoming Bharat NCAP is the introduction of a unified crash test rating system. This system aims to assess the crashworthiness of vehicles and assign star ratings based on their performance in crash tests.
