Mahindra Introduces The BE 6 SPORTEQ, A Bold New Expression Of Sport, Technology, And Electric Performance

Mahindra has introduced the BE 6 SPORTEQ, a new series of its electric origin SUV that combines sporty design, advanced technology and software-driven features. The new range starts at ₹11.45 lakh with Battery as a Service (BaaS), with the battery offered at ₹3.75 per kilometre.

The BE 6 SPORTEQ is available in 12 exterior colour options, including four new shades — Rosso Impulso, Ruby Velvet, Graphite Storm and Firestorm Orange Satin. The series is offered across eight variants: ONE, TWO, THREE, THREE+, FOUR, FE, FE FOUR and Launch Edition.

From the TWO variant onwards, the BE 6 SPORTEQ gets a three-screen coast-to-coast digital cockpit, while customers looking for a more motorsport-inspired setup can choose the Formula E Freedom Edition, which features the original two-screen cockpit and signature halo design.

AI-Powered TEQ Suites

At the heart of the SPORTEQ experience is MAIA, Mahindra’s Artificial Intelligence Architecture, which supports six new TEQ Suites designed to make the vehicle more connected, personalised and responsive.

TEQ_Talk, developed with Google Gemini, acts as a conversational AI companion and supports more than 100 vehicle functions and 48 apps. Other features include vehicle controls, navigation, music and news.

TEQ_Play brings entertainment features such as karaoke, in-car gaming, private audio, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and GrooveMe Party.

TEQ_Drive focuses on driving performance with features including Custom Drive Mode, Drift Mode, Tribe Drive, Revive and Revive SOS. The Formula E Freedom Edition also gets an exclusive Acceleration Boost.

TEQ_Me enables personalised user profiles with automatic user detection, while TEQ_Secure adds features such as Secure360 Pro, intrusion alerts, NFC and Digital Car Key support, as well as a third-screen parental lock.

The TEQ_xting suite allows owners to add personalised messages to the vehicle’s tailgate.

BE 6 SPORTEQ Launch Edition

The top-end Launch Edition gets an exclusive Graphite Storm exterior paired with a full Racing Tan leatherette interior, giving the electric SUV a distinctive premium appearance.

Formula E Freedom Edition

The BE 6 SPORTEQ Formula E Freedom Edition is positioned as the performance-focused variant, drawing inspiration from Mahindra Racing’s Formula E programme.

It features the original BE 6 headlamp design, sporty exterior elements with subtle tricolour accents, Satin colour finishes including the new Rosso Impulso, and an exclusive Black and Firestorm Orange interior.

The cabin retains the two-screen digital cockpit and signature halo design. The variant also offers an Acceleration Boost, enabling a claimed 0–100 km/h time of 6.44 seconds.

Software-Defined EV Experience

As a software-defined vehicle, the BE 6 SPORTEQ is designed to evolve through software updates. Mahindra plans to introduce the new technology and software features to existing BE 6, XEV 9e and XEV 9S owners in phases through over-the-air updates beginning January 2027. Feature availability will depend on the specific vehicle model and variant.

The BE 6 SPORTEQ range starts at ₹11.45 lakh for the ONE variant with BaaS and goes up to ₹26.95 lakh for the FOUR, FE FOUR and Launch Edition variants. Prices are ex-showroom and exclude the cost of the wall charger and installation.
